The Amanda Strickland Workshops series has been enhanced by an added Moodle Project component. The discussion area here in Moodle is open to teacher participants and administrators. Ms. Strickland will start adding topics for discussion after the Thanksgiving holiday.
Participants who have attended one or more of Mrs. Strickland's Monday workshop sessions will be eligible for additional rewards for posting in the Moodle workshop according to the following guidelines:
1 post/reply to Mrs. Strickland's prompts for each of 5 cycles, within the time window allowed (2 or 3 days each). 1 reply to a fellow teacher's post/reply to Mrs. Strickland, per cycle, also within the time window allowed. This will total 5 replies to Mrs. Strickland's prompts and 5 to a fellow teacher.
Completers will receive a $100.00 stipend, and will be put into the drawing for 2 additional prizes. The additional prizes are: 1) 1/2 day release time from work for "Christmas shopping"; 2) A set of 5 Flip Video camcorders for use in your classroom. (Each principal has a flyer to give participating teachers all of the information.)
If you have not been to any of the Amanda Strickland Monday workshops, you may not take part in this discussion or be eligible for the stipend or the drawing. However, the discussion has been opened to guest access, so all teachers and administrators can read the discussions. |
